Education has been my passion throughout my life! Growing up with a mother who taught kindergarten influenced me to take this career path that continues to reward me with so much joy! I earned my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Indiana University in 2008. Following this, I taught first and second grades for six years. Knowing I wanted to be involved with school leadership, I graduated from Xavier University in 2012 with a Master of Education degree in Educational Administration and then obtained my Principal’s License. I served as assistant principal for St. Ursula Villa for four years before becoming principal for Guardian Angels School! We have a special school here, full of pride, commitment, tradition, and a strong sense of community.
I have represented the eastern cluster of principals on the Principal’s Advisory Committee to the Superintendent for the Catholic Schools Office, chaired the Eastern Cluster Principal’s Committee, mentored new principals to the archdiocese, and attended the St. Gregory the Great Institute. I was recently awarded the St. John the Baptist award by the Catholic Schools’ Office for courageous leadership, demonstrating a willingness to consider new ideas, and introducing new and innovative programs into their school.
Personally, I love spending time with my family and enjoy hiking, camping, golfing, and watching sports! My wife and I have 5 children who keep life fun, interesting, and very busy!
