Guardian Angels is enrolled in an internet-based service called Café Prepay. This service is a website where you can apply money to your child’s lunch account using your Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express. Participation in this service is voluntary; you may enroll at any time. If you choose to use this service to apply money, a $2.50 fee will be applied to your credit card with each transaction. Remember money is applied per child and a minimum of $10.00 and a maximum of $75.00 can only be applied via on-line with a credit card. This service is only being offered as a convenience for parents to easily apply money at any time. You may continue to send cash or check with the appropriate deposit form at any time to apply money to your child’s account.
Café Prepay enables parents to keep track of their child’s account balance. In addition, the website offers Automatic Replenish. This is optimal for the student whose lunch spending varies greatly from day to day. With automatic replenish, when the student’s account balance goes below a specified amount, another specified amount is then deposited into the student’s account via credit card. Using “automatic replenish on low balance”, the student will never run out of money. Conversely, your credit card will not be charged until the student’s balance goes below the specified dollar amount.
Along with checking account balances, Café Prepay also enables you to view your student’s participation report, which means you can monitor your child’s spending and see exactly what he/she is eating each day. NOTE: The participation report is not active Monday-Friday from 10:00-2:00PM during actual lunch time. There are no fees or charges for checking account balances or viewing the participation report.
To get started, you will first enroll at CAFE PREPAY. You will be asked to enter your email address and a password, which will be used each time you log in. Please note that a valid email address is required and that Café Prepay stores any necessary personal information in a secure, offline database which is accessed only to process payments and send payment confirmations via email. You will then be prompted through the process to add your students to your account. You must have your student’s 4 digiit ID# to access their information. Please ask your student for that number or email your student’s homeroom teacher to get the number.
