Pay It Forward 6th Gr

Dear 6th Grade Parents,

The 6th grade “Pay It Forward” project for the Bethany House is underway (this counts as the 6th grade Christmas project).  The committee has met and plans are being made.  While this project is all about the 6th grade children providing service to those in need, the committee will need your help as well.

We receive funds from the Hog Jog committee for this project, but these funds alone don’t cover the costs.  We plan on having a bake sale or two to raise additional funds (last years bake sale raised $175.00).  We use the funds to purchase decorations, cleaning supplies and we also provide stockings for the women and children who are staying at the Bethany House.  We fill these stockings with goodies such as scented lotion, deodorant, hairbrushes, toothbrushes/toothpaste, etc for the adults and toiletries, candy and small toys for the kids.

This is where we need your help.  We are asking every 6th grade family to plan on providing baked goods for the bake sale ( scheduled for 12/6 ); and we are hoping every family will provide something small for the stockings.  Please note that if you are unable to shop for a stocking gift, feel free to send in a monetary donation and the committee will do the shopping for you!  Items or donation must be received by 12/10 .
