Change the World Today!
This year, the Archdiocese of Cincinnati will be introducing the new Graded Course of Study in Language Arts for area grade schools. The Graded Course of Study outlines the curriculum and standards for that subject area, setting a level of expectation for students and teachers and consequently, affecting each child daily in the classroom. Each year, the Archdiocese issues a revised course of study in one subject area, and each year, principals like me are faced with the challenge of providing professional development to ensure our faculty is at the cutting edge of the delivery of instruction in their respective levels and subjects.
The staff and I are blessed here at Guardian Angels School to have an advantage that few other schools have—our Annual Fund. For each of the past seven years, participants in the GA School Annual Fund have provided gifts that have gone toward professional development. Few other gifts have as much of a direct impact on your children as these that send teachers to conferences, classes, and seminars that keep them at the top of their profession. This year’s Annual Fund will be the major source of funds for the language arts professional development efforts.
I urge you to prayerfully review the brochure (listed to the right on this page) and participate in a level that makes sense for you and your family. We hope to reach 100% participation from our school families. No gift is ever insignificant because I know it comes with the same sacrifice and thoughtfulness that you give to enrolling and supporting your children at our Catholic school.
Each day, I visit our classrooms and see the extraordinary work our students and teachers are doing together. I see the faces of the children who will change the world someday, and I know that the guiding hands and hearts of our educators are the core of your children’s academic, social, and spiritual development. With your participation, we can work together to ensure that the faculty of Guardian Angels School remains one of the finest in Archdiocese elementary schools.
Thank you and God bless,
Mr. Corey Stoops
